Kaylyn is a trans, Korean-American artist who taught himself how to tattoo while studying in college. After earning his bachelor’s degree in graphic design from UIC, he chose to follow his passion for tattooing.

In August 2023, Kaylyn began his professional tattoo journey at Lucky Kat Tattoo in Chicago, where he has been honing his craft with a focus on black and grey realism as well as micro-realism
